There's a few bands I'd see if I had no other option but aside from YYY and Frightened Rabbits I'd only really tolerate them as an afternoon slot in the background. I assume Greg James and Fern Cotton picked the line up? Also, when will the Emilie Sande train stop?
"when will the Emilie Sande train stop?" - When Adele comes back.
Me and a friend who hopefully will be working half an hour away from the site over the summer are tempted, it's slowly getting better (plus I missed Kraftwerk at the Tate)
I know the headliners are on the whole really shit (thought i have a soft spot for the Killers and quite enjoy them live), but isn't this actually a good thing? as I see it the fact that Mumford are playing just means that there'll be less annoying people around the smaller stage when some of the better acts are on...
It's looking a bit better
If Kraftwerk, YYY's and Frabbit all play the same day then I'd be tempted.
Some utter, utter shite on there though! Headliners are laughable.
Just noticed how far down the bill British Sea Power are
Imagine you'd worked as hard as they had for the past 10 years to be billed at the bottom of that shit heap!
Feel bad for them.
the best headliner is Rihanna.
it's weird and i know it's totally passé to slag it now
but i'm sure the last time i went was maybe 2009 and i got a day ticket and saw
blur
tv on the radio
elbow
regina spektor
all for like £65, but fucking hell i don't know if there's a day tickets worth of bands i'd even wanna see in that line up!
despite it being a shower of shite
a Modest Mouse slot seems to suggest a new album, and that's good news.
Good news for people who love bad news...
They're playing a tonne of festivals in Europe/America too, so it seems more than likely. About time, too.
I hope that dance tent lineup is indicative of the kind of thing most big festivals will be booking
DJ Sneak, Derrick Carter and Mark Farina would be immense fun.
pretty outstanding DJ selection thus far
For a festival of the size and, um, philosophy of T they've done exceptionally well
Not sure how the Ben Klock/Marcel Dettmann thing will go down with the Rihanna crowd but it's a pretty great booking.
British Sea Power's billing on that poster
O_O
The View
Every. Fucking. Year.
As well as Ocean Colour Scene
When will they give up?
based on their music they gave up a LONG time ago
are you sure this isn't the poster from when edith bowman curated atp
Ha ha. Forget my comment on Fern Cotton
Reckon this is all Bowman's work!
That's awful!

If you only left the Slam Tent for Kraftwerk and Rihanna
It'd be decent.
I'm not sure this is objectively worse than any other T lineup
the year I went the main stage ran something like Joss Stone -> Audioslave* -> Keane -> Green Day and the Foo Fighters headlined the other night
*playing Rage and Soundgarden covers :((((((
also I'm pretty sure a Stone Roses tribute band played that year as well
The ordering
Is very strange Looks a bit all over the place
The comments make me want to cry
Folk complaining that it's the same shower of shit as every other year and asking where Kasabian, Biffy, Kings of Leon and Arctic Monkeys are
:-(
New acts announced today
Including Foals, Phoenix and Haim
