Peace and Palma Violets put on a good show in a small venue last year, but I think Miles Kane is god-awful and hope Django Django can do their tunes justice.
Peace got a massive reception, them being Brummies and Wraith is a massive tune. I hope they don't turn into The Twang, they seem to have some potential. Palma Violets also have one big tune, that one that goes ' I wanna be your best friend' or something, and they had some squally noise going on but the last ten minutes was shite. Miles Kane was anonymous, very professional and that but 'Inhaler' was the only track that had anything about it. Durango Django sounded immense and played a near perfect set. I spoke to a Peace fan in the Victoria pub who said Django were shite because all they do is hit a tambourine and go do,do,do for four minutes. But then he likes Peace the most so what does he know.
Should be alright
Arctic Monkeys, Maximo Park, We Are Scientists
Huh.
That was the last one I went to. They were a delight, shite and alright in that order.
I've seen this years line up. Looks shite.
Last year was good though.
Django Django were brilliant
The rest not so much.
the Palma Violets album is half baked
Going on wednesday

Half baked review

I went last night
Missed Peace, thought Palma Violets were great, Miles Kane is fucking garbage, and Django Django are great.
The sound in that place is awful though. Was going to try and get last minute Deftones tickets but don't think I'll bother now
did any of these even come close to selling out?
i really didn't think django django had a fanbase which comes even close to filling up these venues.
It was very busy last night
Touts outside too. Miles Kane added a few hundred fans that I imagine wouldn't have gone otherwise.
