Best live performance?
Someone posted a clip with Foster the People (few days ago) and claimed it was the best live performance ever.
Well, it was a great performance indeed, but there is something better. An extended version of "Dead Disco" by Metric (live in Montreal 2006), for example. You can find it on the official DVD, Live at Metropolis.
This is absolutely mindblowing. MINDBLOWING. And a bit insane.

Part 2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W0JyGmc9pPI
(the uploader split it in two parts)
If you watch it, please watch the whole thing (around 15 minutes total). Also I recommend you to use the headphones (you'll understand why ;)). This is definitely one of the most intense live performance I've ever seen.
Now, your turn.

"...it was a great performance indeed" you don't understand?
And if you're not going to watch any links from me, fine. Probably you entered here by mistake...

I have spent a lot - a LOT - of time shitting on Foster The People.
They are tremendously boring, their lyrics are lifeless and uninspired, and their music one-dimensional. AND, there's a burger place up the street from me that's owned by Marc Foster's uncle, and those burgers are WRETCHED.
That video of Foster The People doing "Pumped Up Kicks" that deep-blue is talking about is OUT OF THIS WORLD. Not the best - but the best I've seen all year.
Probably not the best EVER, but
this video of The Fall playing Garden in 1984 is pretty spectacular, and contains an added bonus of Mark E Smith threatening the lighting engineer midway through:
