Weekly Spotify Send

This is an idea I've had for a while, as it is the start of 2013 (well nearly) I thought I would put it forward and see if (some) people are interested.

The idea would be to send a track you like a week to your 'favourited' DIS people on Spotify. Shouldn't take long. The great thing is that you can see what someone is listening to /liking on their profile so easier to aim than the DIS(mix)tape exchange(which I love btw!).

Only problem is favouriting people/adding people to your social list on Spotify has changed??
So the best way to go about it is to post a simple playlist of yours in this thread. Then it is easy for peeps to click 'favourite' on your profile.

If you want out, it's only a few clicks away too.
I'm not worried if this idea doesn'take off, at least it's out there now. I do love tracks in my inbox!

I'd like to do this, but do you have to be on Facebook to use the Spotify inbox?

If so I'll have to give it a miss.

- Click on the playlist
  
  load it up in spotify
  click on the name (laure) of the playlist creator
  click 'add to favourites'
  
  it's silly, I know, but that's how you do it without facebook

    type spotify:user:username in the search box. (Note that the username must be written in lower-case)

        Right now, number of people is manageable though and it's only once a week really. I send different songs to different people too, but of course any track in my inbox is good! Thanks for sending.

I'm glad you liked the Carpenter Brut Laure

Since everyone else is sending two this week, I think I'll follow suit.

Both by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, both from soundtracks for David Fincher films, both consisting mainly of piano.
They are both perfect for leaving the house for work ridiculously early and the snow outside is still untouched and there's no sound but your footsteps and for a moment you feel as though you're the only person awake.

It's that time of week again

Since Phoenix are back I've gone for a cover of Fences by a favourite band of mine - The Soft Pack.

Also, there's an easier way to send one song to everyone. Click the arrow next to the song, choose Send To Friend, and then just add everyone's name. Like sending an email to more than one person.

And lastly, I've really enjoyed HOTEL MEXICO, DUCKTAILS, and THE SAMPS, so thanks to Laure, p.mitchell and Richard Cahill for those.
