GIITTV's 100 albums of 2012
Yep, it's another list, here we go (this was a poll voted upon by around 40 odd of our writers).
Albums of the year 100-51

Top ten tomorrow. Cheers
Good list.
My favourite First Aid Kit has been ignored by a few Top 50s. Nice to see it at number 20.
Johnny Foreigner vs Everything came out at the end of last year
Pretty good reason for it to not make this years list
Thanks for the correction
I didn't compile the list, I assume whoever voted for it assumed it was out early in the year. But yeah we stand corrected here..
no comment on the Godspeed album?
is that an editorial position, or a glitch?
I am surprised that Islet album hasn't been in any other lists (that I've noticed).
The Woodpecker Wooliams album is fantastic - great to see that so high up.
Looking forward to the final installment. Good work!
I would guess the Islet album suffered from coming out in early January
+ them not really doing a great deal around. if you go look at their website they did a mid-sized UK headline tour, some European dates, a few of the smaller festivals and not a great more. they toured more in 2010 than they did in 2012.
(and because they're a British rock band blah blah blah)
i dunno, the Islet record didn't really do anything for me
I wanted to like it and gave it a few spins but it wasn't doing it for me
Probably helps that I'm based in Cardiff
And a few of our staff members are Welsh and or attended Green Man, for their album still to be in our minds.
Dude who was meant to blurb/review it didn't
Simple as that I'm afraid!
great to see the otherwise overlooked Me and My Drummer in there
lovely album - It's quite eclectic and at first whilst adoring some tracks i was unsure of others but the whole thing massively grew on me, it's definitely among my most played albums of the year. Great vocal as well.
This might be the best list we've seen yet
All my favorite records so far are on there. And how great to see Tindersticks at 11.
Albums 10-1
