*yawn*
i'd forgotten that song existed
good song but really, this is terribly embarrassing.
I think this is a good idea
But it'll never happen. There's always about 40 different "alt" songs competiing.
Although Screamager is good as it's kinda about bands like 1Direction .
Its a pretty great song and I suppose it would be nice to see it in the charts again
But yeah, this whole anti-X factor thing had its day in 2009 with the RATM thing (not saying that wasn't embarrassing, but it worked). Its really a pointless idea that had its day and now literally nobody cares.
That wasn't embarrassing, that was amazing
felt a bit sorry for little Joe though. We smashed a poor boy's dream.
It was terrible.
He'd worked so hard and really deserved it.
no it wasnt it was shockingly poor
and the fact it means killing in the name of gets played more is a sad sad fact
Statements like this are exactly why independent music's on its arse though really, isn't it
I don't see what this has to do with 'independent music'?
It suggests that any attempt to compete with the huge X Factor machine at Christmas is pointless and embarrassing.
theres a difference between independent music competing
and a load of people buying a 20 year old track from one of the biggest rock bands in the world ever.
I love Therapy? more than just about any other band
but totally can't see the point of any of these "Get XXX To Number One" campaigns. Anything, once it has been done, gets so many imitators that the effect is diluted beyond belief - and a lot of chancers get involved too (which is not what I'm suggesting has happened here).

.
It's just a nice way of shitting on a young persons dreams. Only 99p, don't be so mean spirited.
FFS.
They've already have their dreams shat on
by being promised any kind of lasting fame, as far as I'm concerned.
If you want to stick it to Cowell, everyone should buy a particular Christopher Maloney download.
