There was a mutual admiration. Bill introduced Tool at Coachella one year. When Bill died, Tool paid tribute by having a Painting of him on their album Aenima. I'm pretty positive that Tool's title track from that album was inspired by the Arizona Bay sketch.

Exceptionally talented artists who obtained a fanatical following. Both uncomfortable in the limelight their talent earned, and almost inevitably died way too young, though their work really stands the test of time.

I think most people would concede Coldplay have some decent moments and I don't think that many people actively hate them - more aren't too arsed about that whereas I think Mumford & MacIntyre are both very divisive and actively inspire hatred in their detractors.

I got a couple of Bill Hicks cd's recently and found it odd/unpleasant that he had a professional bar band playing as background music while he did his show, it was completely unnecessary.

See what you did there...! Get this for a Beatles/comedy crossover. One time, George Harrison had Peter Sellers and Spike Milligan round his house and they had a jam, Sellers on drums, George on guitar and bass, Milligan on guitar - he was so taken with the Strat that he'd borrowed that George sneaked it into the boot of his car when he left, so when he got home he had a wonderful surprise. Isn't that nice? So, you could pair them up with the Goon Show in theory too.
