The first album is great.

I mean it's possible Toyota nicked a song and didn't use rights clearance but far more likely to me that they've signed a publishing deal which gives the publisher the right to make decisions on syncing on their behalf...
Well that's what I wondered but their stuff is showing as released under their own label
so I was a bit confused as to how they hadn't noticed this.
I once asked Falco if he'd be annoyed with his stuff going on certain adverts and he just said he'd signed a deal knowing full-well he wouldn't be able to control that side so fuck it (or words to that effect).
There's record label and publishing though.
The fact they're on their own label makes it more likely they do their publishing through someone else ('cos publishing is a bit more complex).

The only people in the UK with any kind of blanket agreement for any kind of sync are the BBC and Channel 4. Their publisher will have sorted this, and their management will have signed off on it. And despite what they say, they will have been paid. Whining tossers.
