3 Hearts is such a massive tune
I still can't get into the last album.
You Thought You Saw a Shooting Star but Yr Eyes Were Blurred With Tears and That Lighthouse Can Be Pretty Deceiving With the Sky So Clear and Sea So Calm - AMAZING
There When You Need It - AMAZING
Certain Songs are Cursed - AMAZING
Johnny Foreigner vs. Everything - meh...
One day they'll release one of those EP compilation records and it'll be the best thing ever.
maybe that'll help you get into it (and it pretty much is 3 eps stuck together anyway). It is really fantastic and the best thing they've done.
Love the new ep but does anyone know how to get the US only extra track on it's own? The link here doesn't work http://johnnyforeigner.bandcamp.com/album/names
And now I love it, easily my favourite of the three. I'll give vs. Everything another chance soon.
Including the song of your choice handwritten by Lexei with an anecdote about the song on the back?
I was lucky enough to get in on that. I chose 'Yr Loved'. It was a bit tatty when it arrived and it's tattier now, but by god I love that scrap of paper...
it's still the record (inc eps) I play least.
I barely bothered with it before I saw them here a few weeks ago but I've been playing it quite a lot since then. think it caught me off guard with how miserable it basically is but HEY i've been pretty miserable lately so w/e
I'M NOT DONE WITH THIS I'M NOT GIVING IN I'M NOT GIVING UP ON YOU WE JUST GOT OLLLLDDDERRRRRR
but listening to JoFo vs Everything always give me such a buzz because they just fucking *get it* like almost no other band does.
3 Hearts is bloody great, keen to hear the rest of the EP.
and vs as maybe their best
just really think vs was a huge misfire, same for a few of the EP songs prior to it
this EP is back to what i like about them
vs. Everything was right up there with my favourite albums of last year
Cant wait to hear this. Great band that I wish were bigger
I don't like it. It sounds like an abattoir.
That it's so miserable, I mean. Took a while to get into, probably because of length, but it's so bloody strong the whole way through! Easily one of my faves of last year.
... and yeh, pretty much the greatest band evar! <3
I was specifically listing their amazing run of 2010-2011 EPs in the build-up to vs. Everything.
I like them being a (relatively) well-kept secret. Could see them having a proper breakthrough, though I still think it's unlikely.
