Yearendageddon: Rolling Thread '12
(Nice turn of phrase sean btw, pinching it)
Here is a thread for all EOY lists and assorted articles, be they print or online, big or small. Inevitably some of the key ones will probably warrant spin-off threads but let's try and avoid the usual deluge of single-digit reply threads if we can.
Tracks, albums, reissues, mixes, remixes, compilations, 'events' - whate4, all fits in here.
Those of us that are bored at work or simply unemployed can make predictions and then the jaded old hands can come in and mock us for caring. Sound good? Good. Can we get a Sticky on this please?
[Incidentally, yes, I am aware it's October. Might as well ring in the season early and try to ringfence it all]

Scott Walker and Emeralds may well feature, possibly highly going on past form. Andy Stott I have an inkling will do pretty well. Big Boi's record could be a surprise package but the material so far has been less than encouraging
true, and on that note: surely it's only a matter of hours before ASAP gets delayed too?
Big Boi is pretty much the only one doing any promotion on it
Not really surprised as he doesn't seem to be anywhere near as big a commercial prospect on his own as the label would have expected post-Outkast. It's unlikely there would be a big hit single from him at all these days.
Mama Told Me is a good'un, imo, but I don't expect the album to be a classic. After what happened to SLLF, untold pushbacks are more than a possibility... not to mention that it's pretty much a major label tradition not to release rap records on time.
when does the p4k list 'drop' or did I miss it?
have there been any yet?
Still mid-November champ
be grateful there hasn't. Apart from The Fly or some crap.
Threads borked anyway mate
might as well start again when they do start coming out.
aye fair point
will keep the p4k prediction for posterity / confirmation of onset adult autism
