Do we all like them?
Gallop video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wa4Y8RO590A
they are growing on me. I feel like I am obligated to like them as they are from Falmouth and they seem like lovely chaps. I live in Falmouth. It's nice here, come visit.
I'll probably go to that.
called A Carefully Planned Festival. You both should definitely travel 100's of miles to attend.
I can confirm that they're thoroughly lovely chaps.
The album is brilliant, one of the best british debut records of the year for sure.
Just the most nowhere place in all of Devon. With the exception of the House of Marbles obviously, that place is off the hook.
house of marbles is indeed off the hook. do they still have that big marble maze thing on the wall? SO GOOD.
I guess they were probably giving them away but I was like YES BEING NICE GETS ME FREE STUFF
I used to live there. Now I live in Falmouth. And my band's supporting their show at Gylly beach. This is a strange thread.
And decide which version is better?
(er... it's on the album, which is on Spotify)
is going to shit their very selves when they hear this.
Fourth listen through and it keeps sounding better and better.
Kinda forgot they existed really its been ages since they popped up on the radar, I'll give this a listen and see how its gone. I was always into that This Town Needs Guns, Meet Me in Saint Louis, BSM thing and this where the last band I kinda got from that era and they felt late to the party in 2010 so I'm not holding much hope in 2012 but I'll give it a fair shot, I mean nowt else indie is doing it right now so why not hey.
I'm really glad they let the older songs mature a bit before making an album. Can't wait for them at swn next week.
Agree about the maturity thing too, so glad they didn't rush the album at all.
Tall Ships are playing XOYO soon - Mon 22nd Oct and it's only £8.
I'll be there.
Jam were meant to get them in ages ago but she said they haven't been sent yet.
Jam didn't have any, but a friend picked some up from Gylly. Have you seen the form of the tickets?
Got mine from Clays the other day and they seemed to have quite a few.
Just listening to the sound bites for "Everything Touching" on itunes. T=0 sounds fucking awesome, not sure about the other tracks though. I take it you lot reckon it's worth forking out for?
listen to that first
I streamed the album on spotify and just bought the songs I liked (about 5). I love them though, so I'll probably buy the rest of the album at some point.
The fifth time I've seen them in the past 18 months or so. The difference these days is every song in the set is brilliant. Really hope they make some money and push on from the semi-toilet circuit, the one British band that genuinely deserves more success.
i agree with what you've written
I haven't fully clicked with it yet to be honest but I'm looking forward to seeing them live.
wonder whether they're currently enjoying a sales spike as a result of people buying their album by mistake?
this album is absolutely fucking brilliant. another gem hidden away. 2012 is a fucking beaut.
