As much as I like Dinosaur, he would have injected too much muso stuff and fucked up Nirvana's pop sound. Which might have stopped them from crossing over.
Pros: no dead Kurt, no Courtney hollywood career, no Nickleback
Cons: no Nevermind, US indie rock musicians would have called it a day earlier and may not have made as much money
This depends on whether you think the breakthrough relied entirely on Nirvana. I remember Mark Arm saying at the time, that it was Jesus Jones getting a US number 1 with Right Here Right Now that opened the first door...
