The Streets first two albums.
Original Pirate Material: fucking wonderful. It feels like the lad's speaking to you personally. It's a really heartfelt and personal album and I like that.
Just onto AGDCFF now.

LAD
Love these two albums
OPM was just that - original and different. And I think AGDCFF is even better. Just a shame the other albums were so disappointing.
First album's brilliant. Never really rated the second.
The whole story thing's a nice idea but I don't think it's brilliantly done, I think the songs lose some of the personal touch and I just think there's nowhere near as many strong songs on there...
^this
love the first album. the second does nothing for me.
...because it's generally pretty poor and substitutes sharp lyrics for syllabic fillers,
such as "Yeah, yeah, yeah". Yawn. 'O.P.M.' is minted, though.
I think Computers and Blues
should be considered one of his best... couple of musical and lyrical clangers, but the high points are fantastic
Love the first track on that
I think Everything is borrowed
is up there with some of his best stuff. Really under-rated album and it contains some of his best lines including one of my personal faves: For billions of years since the outset of time
Every single one of your ancestors has survived
Every single person on your mum and dad's side
Successfully looked after and passed on to you life.
What are the chances of that, like?
It comes to me once in a while
And everywhere I tell folk it gets the best smile
