Or it will be in an hour & a half when most of you are up.
Something tells me this slightly unbelievable major label deal might not last much longer...
I do find it a bit odd that they signed to a massive major, and then get all pissy when said major label act like any normal major label would. Or were they just trolling by signing in the first place?
it'll up their punk credentials in some key demos, the physical release will come with a host of bonus tracks and be resequenced and remastered ("this is how we always intended it", says Zach Hill) and it'll sell much better than the last one.
(although I didn't even think of that. It's probably correct)
at least i had time to download this and delete the cover art from itunes before anyone else gets in the office ^__^;
lovely stuff. actually worse than the last LP's.
Means I waste my time clicking on threads about shit bands and shit music. We don't all read NME, yeah?
NME are so catch-all my non-existent black metal side-project band are probably in there
It could be even good by now, fuck knows.
Will download when I get home
but then i had to go back to my current schedule of listening to Atomhead resonance FM set on loop all day
i grew tired of the money store pretty quickly - but it was so much fun whilst the best lasted
I think this is my favourite record of theirs.
By their label? Or do they want you to think it's their label? Hard to tell whether it's the fans or the label being trolled, or maybe both.
but yeah I guess so.
Following in the footsteps of ATR and Die Antwoord...
and death grips have just fucked over the label. that's not to say it can't be rectified with them, in a similar to way to what guntrip mentioned above.
i have newfound respect for them now as well, after they annoyed me from pulling out of the tour. respect in the sense that this is such a ballsy and possibly stupid thing to do.
listened to half of it already. really enjoying it...more than the other records so far :)
Now they are saying that their label shut it down. PUNKXXX. I like their music but their whole attitude now is really getting to me.
Death Grips - shut down for (being) cocks
Automatically endears me to them and their opinions.
It's a PR stunt or it's truly a fuck you punk attitude. I don't care for the cover, but it's their best record so far.
The fact is, it's modern hip hop. If you don't like it, don't listen to it...that is how I live with Odd Future being around.
can we go back to lansing dreiden and clap your hands say yeah, please?
we're in too deep, it's become, self-aware!
She commented, quite correctly, that the start of the first track sounds "like that cereal advert" (y'know, the "infamous" dubstep Weetabix thing http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AyKWyYOy_No)
either way I'd never seen it before; THAT'S MENTAL!
Da label made us pay back the advance
Now my bank manager's calling, I ain't got a chance!
Either cereal commercial or a bank to rob
Gotta get some cash cos the world seen my knob- uuuuugggghh!
I thought THAT was worthy of DiS's 10/10. Album of the Year for me, is 'NO LOVE DEEP WEB'.
That's everyone's favourite, right?
the spirit of johnny rotten lives on
but cowering like ants in their reply. Yes sir Mr Heath sir, we'll get the masters to you as soon as possible Mr Heath! Posers.
does this actually impress anyone?
Kind of feel for the guys at Epic but at the same time it was probably fairly clear what they were getting into signing a band of that nature.
Can't imagine they would what have expected that from him.
Given that it's not my label or my money, and that I still reckon that Epic is in on the joke.
