Best snotty garage guitar music of the last fifteen years...
I guess there was a bit of a garage revival at the end of the nineties, which has kept some momentum, and has resulted in some pretty great records.
This is the post where you list them - then I might put a playlist together.
Mainstays welcome, but obscure gems especially sought (it is a genre that lends itself well to obscure gems).

The Ponys
Black Lips
Eddy Current Supression Ring "Primary Colours" (2008)
Just love this record. It just sums up the devil may care recklessness of snotty guitar, but without forgetting the hooks and catchphrases. This also a nice humility to it - "I admit my faults", "I still don't know, which way to go".
"Which Way To Go" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIX6YbpJ5wM
The Ponys "Laced With Romance" (2003)
Wonderful egocentric, nihilistic garage ("Let's Kill Ourselves", "I Love You Cause You Look Like Me"). Again, ringing with fantastic hooks all over. Pony's second album, Celebration Castle was also great, but then Ian Adams, guitarist and keyboardist moved on, and they were never quite the same again.
"Sad Eyes (live)" http://youtu.be/xM1j-HV562c
You are so-o-o right about the Ponys
will check out above, fo'so.
The Black Lips "Good Bad Not Evil" (2007)
The Black Lips present their garage in an authentic sixties mold. This album is pretty varied - it even has a country number.
"Veni Vedi Vice" http://youtu.be/t4mfVyLxYu8
the Obits - Moody, Standard and Poor?
Awesome Color?
Hot Snakes - "Audit In Progress"
was better, they had more energy. The Obits sound strangely tired in comparison. Average drummer maybe?
Obits are great
Marked Men - Fix My Brain is even more great. Seriously.
The Ty Segall Band album Slaughterhouse is awesome
It was only released a few months ago but a great example of loud, fuck-everything garage
Loving this guy right now in general
Good shout!
Yes - I too am lovin the new Ty Segall. His best yet.
I think that one has some duds on it
but "Melted" is one of my favourites fo sho. And the White Fence collab is ace. He is very good.
Yeah, last track is well booooring, always skip it
More people/bands need to realise just 9 tracks/20 mins of just balls-out rock though
You'll probably like something from this Birmingham Record Label

good one Masonna
Japanese imports with little distribution
plus collector scum looking for them. I managed to get _Virulent Fuzz Punk A.C.I.D_ on eBay for a reasonable price earlier this year, so it can be done.
This isn't garage revival, but...
I'm A Living Sickeness is an all time Snotty Garage classic:

Puffy Areolas
Their In The Army 1981 LP is awesome. Bit more on the blown out and psyche-y side but still fairly snotty!
Tyvek is also great (the guitarist in Puffy Areolas was in Tyvek first). Their two main LPs are great but my favourite is Skyin' which is a collection of really early recordings
Hanni El Khatib.
Anyone know any great
acid fried psych leaning garage rock similar to Thee Oh Sees? That is where its at.
Sleepy Sun's first 2 elpees...
