So do I get a ticket knowing how much I HATE that venue and knowing they'll probably cancel anyway?
With no real reason given.
And by with no real reason he means without telling any of the promoters or venues, and simply posting a one sentance Facebook message, leaving them to expect the gigs to go ahead.
Never seen a bad band with bad sound there. Melvins, The National, La Savy Fav etc...all amazing.
Same night a Polica though. Gonna try and do both somehow.
but there's also evidence that the two times i've seen tehm have been some of the best shows i've ever seen, so, you know
and then they just fucked off. Worth £15 separately to see them? Probably, though that venue's not up to much.
That's the only experience of them cancelling gigs, right?
It's not like we'd been waiting years for a new album, they'd only just released the Money Store. And it's a lame excuse anyway - the musicians' equivalent of I'm washing my hair.
before it's OK to call them out on it?
they probably didn't have good enough advance sales to make it feasible, or some other such mundane signed-to-a-record-label type reasons, and the whole LOL WE'RE GONNA RECORD A NEW ALBUM INSTEAD OF PLAYING LIVE attitude is just showbusiness/trolling/punk.
before even the first came out. and they cancelled EVERY date, including probably well-paying festival ones.
so either they realised they'd never get the second LP done in time or had some kind of dispute with their new Corporate Overlords and had to go back and rework #2 in some way.
Announce a tour.
Pull out last minute to work on your album 'No Love'
Follow that up with the release of your new video 'Hustle Bones' which contains a load of money/drugs (presumably made on ticket sales...) being put in an illuminati inspired washing machine... (Even the status posted along with the new video was "FUCK WHAT YOU HEARD!")
Cuntish for sure... but it did make me laugh.
will support. boom.
Or just in That London?
ticket purchased. Not many left by the looks.
