any fans? It doesn't sound that much like em but it brings to mind Witchcraft cos similar to their first album it could be some long lost 70s record.

Gwen Stefani
yeeea, great record!

They're awesome
Can't believe they're not massive either - y'know relatively speaking. That Blood Lust record is amazing
seems like they don't play live very much
that might be why maybe?
This interview
covers the reasons why they don't play live much
http://thequietus.com/articles/08378-uncle-acid-deadbeats-interview
And they have a show lined up at the High Garage

great band
Blood Lust is a total beast, i picked it up on vinyl when it got repressed recently. sizing up coming down to london for this gig next year..
Got my tickets for the gig in the post today
Yeah great band. Got the album when it was released on CDr, more recently picked up the vinyl repress. They've a fanatical following when it comes to the record, surprised the gig didn't sell out in a flash though. Hopefully the interest they're getting will get the 1st album "Vol .1" released properly.
Admiral Sir Cloudesley Shovell LP out last month

In a similar vein - on Rise Above as well. Not as good as Uncle Acid but definitely worth a look if you dig that sound. Norman Records still have the purple vinyl and 7" version in stock too...
It
seems the Highbury Garage show is sold out and a 2nd date has been added, which is great for the band but I have tickets for the 1st night and the support of the new date is Admiral Sir Cloudesley...gutted. That'll be a great show with them 2 on the same bill.
I was a bit annoyed at that too
but get to see Admiral Sir Cloudesley this weekend, so not too upset.
They're from Cambridge?? Bloody hell. Never been aware of them playing live here.
Good band.
New one
Poison Apple

wicked
mint album art too.
the kadavar+aqua nebula oscillator record is real good in this 70s hard-rock/psychyness vein.

kadavar guitarist gives it the big shreds always.

I have a ticket for the Uncle Acid / Admiral Cloudesley show at the Garage this Saturday
but I can't go now. Anyone who wants it is welcome to it - just give me a shout.
It was bought on my debit card and don't know how the venue would be re transferring it (and I certainly wouldn't want to see another one of these - http://drownedinsound.com/community/boards/social/4279287!) but if anyone knows how to get around this then the ticket's all yours
I actually only got round to hearing them by accident on Monday
got back from work, slumped on comfy chair, flicked through channels, flicked through digital radio stations, ended up on The Radio 1 Rock Show and stuck with it for nostalgia's sake.
yeah, so after the interview with two of Killswitch Engage (plus two EXCLUSIVE NEW TRACKS), I half-heard DPC say Uncle Acid and the Deadbeats, and I remembered them from the Quietus obscurities bit of my memory, and it didn't add up.
but yeah, he played a tune off the new record and it was fucking great.
