The Race
Cat On Form
Our Price in Wilmslow
The last records I bought in Woolworths
were Love Missile F1-11 by PWEI and Orbital's Belfast in Woking. It's a Wetherspoons now
fucking used to love woolworths
I think I got the first Hell Is For Heroes album from there when I was 11
In the cheap section
I think I bought OK Computer (by Radiohead) in HMV in Wrexham
Great thread, bullshit wanker
Oh actually it might have been HMV Manchester
Now who's the bullshit wanker

bullshit wanker
mvc always reminds me of red alert
i used to get mixed up with that and mobile command vehicles
Got it off amazon about two years ago
because (as I'm also a tedious cunt stupid bullshit wanker) I hadn't bothered listening to it until then.

Don't see Hampsons anymore
shame.
BACK IN THE SUMMER OF '97
WHOA YEAH
I bought OK Computer in Woolworths in Matlock
I bought several gems from there, while visiting my Grandparents my Dad would let me get some music every now and then as a bribe. Once I wanted cigarettes and alcohol by Oasis on cassette, it was in the shape of a fag packet. My Dad wouldn't let me as he felt it wasn't appropriate for a 12 year old.
^5
i bought parklife on tape from my local woolies as well
I stole it off my sister
bullshit wanker.
hahahahahahah
waaht a bitch
I didn't buy OK Computer in Woolworths (bullshit wanker)
I did buy Fontanelle by Babes in Toyland in Woolworths in Stamford in 1992 and probably some pic n mix.
amazing
this thread is a long hard raging success
easy now, you've got to hit 50 replies + before setting off the party poppers
is that the rules over here?

JUST COUNT THEM, CUNT.
i see myself as a trend-setter
I illegally downloaded it for free ten years ago
I could only afford to buy one CD in 1997 so I bought Victory Parts by AC Acoustics instead.
but not from Woolworths
where?
Probably HMV in Southend
but might have been Virgin. It's so long ago.
Virgin Megastores in Cardiff for me.
good answer
Got it free with a bunch of other CDs out a jukebox.
ooooh
what else?
Oh, hundreds.
My dad used to fix them when I was young, and he would get any CDs that were getting thrown away. I'd keep them all - it was the basis of my music listening. He'd bring back dozens every week - no cases for any of them, just the little inlay card that would be in the jukebox with them. Some of them didn't even have that, so it would be exciting listening without knowing what it was - I had no idea I was listening to OK Computer for ages (I was about 13 at the time).
Used to have about 6 copies of Morning Glory and about 15 of Be Here Now, and I'd give them to people at school. I've still got loads of them at home in boxes, there are hundreds.of them
that's amazing
really genuinely exciting :)
Yeah, it was a great way to discover music.
You don't get many cd-based jukeboxes in pubs anymore, so I was probably the last generation that'll do that.
Sunrise, sunset.
VIRGIN
megastores in York
Bullshit
Wanker
i once went into VM in manchester and asked for a cd and the computer couldn't understand it
so the man told me it didn't exist
haha
stoopid man (and computer)
what cd was it?
tomorrow we will run faster by sweep the leg johnny
one of my all time favourites to this day
yeh, that doesn't exist
they were both right and yr mental
just looked on wikipedia
describes them as maths rock. i like maths rock, would i like this band with a stupid fucking name
yeah they are the best at it that ever existed
they have a song called "please give me roses before i am dead" and it is just the best best use of mathy music without forgetting how important melody is like EVER. so good.
I WILL LISTEN TO THEM THEN
GOD
hooray!!!
:D
hey
QUITE GOOD.
Will give em another listen on thursday.
I never bought OK computer.
I traded a Korn album for it with my Taekwondo instructor when I was 14. Now whos the bullshit wanker.
i'm not sure actually
Meh
Its probably just someone upthread :(
what korn album was it?
See You On The Other Side I think
The one with Twisted Transistor on it. I think I made a good call.
i don't even know waht that album is
not one of the "classics"
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/See_You_on_the_Other_Side_(Korn_album)
I traded Bon Jovi's greatest hits
for Urban Hymns by the Verve. I bought the Bon Jovi CD from Woolworths in Matlock also.
I bought Under the bridge (by all saints) in woolworths, Porth.
(also on sundays)
it's alright everyone
i've found the bullshit wanker
Sadly, it's true
...and I feel the title "horrendous cunt" to be more fitting, despite the context of this thread.
it's ok
we've all done awful things. i once vomited on my way to a human waste project gig and then kissed a boy and then kissed a girl
i broke in and ate his fishtank
and i wasnt even hungry
surely a run in for best relatively new username?
I bought Ok Computer
In a second hand record store in Chichester for £3, bullshit wanker.
I didn't buy OK Computer, oh no.
I taped it off the CD from Chester library and then stole the inlay cassette cover from Woolworths in Shotton, North Wales to go with it. What a bullshit wanker.
I also bought my first LP from said Woolworths - Bad by Michael Jackson. Just checked and it still pisses over OK Computer.
The only CD I've ever bought from a Tesco.
The Bangor (North Wales) branch if you're interested, bullshit wanker.
I honestly can't remember.
Wouldn't've been Woolies though, as there wasn't one where I lived at the time. HMV or Virgin, possibly? Maybe Musiczone? Idk.
Bullshit wanker.
Happy Eater > Happy Shopper > Tower Records > Radio Shack > Tandy > Our Price > Rumbalows > Woolworths
I bought OK Computer in Virgin Megastore in Reading
I bought Bulls On Parade in Woolworths Reading
Mother sent me to market to sell our cow
but I swapped it for a magic copy of OK computer along the way.
bet the cow enjoyed
a fitter happier and more productive environment
