This new Muse song, 'unsustainable' (marries goat?)
I'm speechless.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DhKVych80ME
there are no words, none at all. Thanks for taking a shit right into my mouth.
I literally can't believe this is the same band who made origin. even the same band who made the resistance.
.
it's not just me, right? This is ghastly. Just atrocious????

Yeah this is shit.
I was a bit pissed off that there isn't really anything more to the song than what was shown in the trailer. Yeah the dubstep bit kinda bad, but would be quite redeemable if it had gone into like a soaring chorus or something. But this doesn't go anywhere at all. Fucks sake Muse, the last one was pretty bad, but in the two preview songs we have probably the worst things the band have ever put their name to.
They're just trolling now aren't they
or i dunno, not trolling. But like, they don't actually give a shit about music anymore, so are just doing things they think are funny. I guess on paper mixing string sections with `dubstep` is pretty funny.
I wish they'd just split up though they make me sad.
They have some great stuff.
Nothing perennial, though. They've never seemed serious to me.
I liked almost all of OoS, and some of Showbiz, but Absolution and everything after = a slog. Yes, virtuosic. Yes, rocking. However, I think that from Absolution to The Resistance there might be one good album's worth of material, and to listen to that material would require you to turn your brain off.
this isnt about muse. this is bigger than muse now
this is about how this world can exist while things like this pig-shit disgrace of a song are in it. surely this marks the beginning of the end. today this, tomorrow nothing
YEAH IT'S UNSUSTAINABLE AMIRITE
I kind of love this though

That ascending chord sequence in the bridge is lush.
OUUURRRR TIMMMMEEE IS RUNNNNNNINNGG OUTTTTTTT
Album filler
It's too bland to get worked up about.
Shit in your mouth?
Did you know that the first thing a baby koala eats when it moves from milk to eucalyptus is a mouthful of its mother's shit. They need the bacteria in it to develop in their own guts to be able to digest the leaves. They don't have it when they're born so they need to be given it.
Good fact yeh?
mmmmmmm
making me hungry
It's so bad I actually laughed
Out loud.
And Muse were actually, possibly my favourite band for a number of years...
:(
thought this would just be a bunch of elitist pricks poo pooing shit for no reason
but I actually grinned and laughed when it got to the robot saying "unsustainable" in that little rhythm. Pure sillyness.
If they were being tongue in cheek
this might have value, but of course they are deadly deadly David Icke serious.
muses career is...
unsustainable
*unlistenable
It's fine
much more bearable than most of their stuff mainly due to the lack of Matt Bellamy's stupid vocals/lyrics.
No idea why people are shocked at Muse being shit.
Easily the most pointless British band of the last 20 years.
Absolute entry level guitar music for 13-year-old former goths.
you are doing well if you are a former goth by 13
nah we had 13-year-old former goths
like, people who wore new rocks on the first day of secondary school and got bullied.
Subculture is a £150 pair of boots
keep listening to Amplifier and telling yourself you're alt-rock
<3
Looks and sounds like
the intro to some really really shit Xbox game.
^THIS
if i'm going to have to listen to this shit at parties for the next 6 months
i'm going to kill any and every friend that puts this on. it's for the greater good.
Was at a party last night where somebody had downloaded it and played it three times.
Then had to listen to an argument over whether it was brilliant dubstep or brilliant prog rock.
Ffs. It's begun.
its clearly neither
no
no no no no no no no no no no no no you just made that up it's a lie
i hope it's a lie
we can only hope
Fraid not.
It was on the other side of the world in the outer suburbs of Brisbane so there's always a slim ray of hope that it could be isolated...
The video is laughable.
The news reporter reading the laws of thermodynamics is a bit strange, like a tennis player reading the Miranda Rights. And then the wub and music is just... parody.
Christ, one day there will be a true post mortem into why Muse started to try so hard when before it seemed so effortless.
It sounds like an intro. or interlude from Korn's last album.
Pure shite, as they say.
:'D
There are literally no words.
The laws of thermodynamics bit broke me. So when the song arrived the impact was diminished. Still managed to get some classic Matt Bellamy moaning AWOOOAHHH WOOOAHHHYAAAHHOOOOOOH over the top like a demented John Fashanu with his balls in a vice.
the video reminds me of the cut scenes from command and conquer
Keep expecting Yuri to turn up

I never thought I'd say this about a Muse song, but
it gets better when Bellamy's vocals come in.
Not that it lasts long before the fucking robot comes back.
Well, the message is important
so I'm glad a band as huge as Muse is putting it out there, regardless of the music's quality
Muse have ceased to matter as a band, but as an agitprop rallying-point they might yet have a role to play
WAKE UP SHEEPLE
it's calling for a more sustainably-run, locally-sourced, responsible society
that's not WAKE UP SHEEPLE, that's blatant necessity
and yeah they do blare out conspiracy histrionics as well but this song's message is sound
I'm sorry but listening to that song that is not the message I get
It's just a pointlessly vague 'revolutionary' rallying call. And most Muse listeners and fans will take it as such.
The thing with the laws of thermodynamics is such awful bullshit as well. Incredibly hamfisted.
I suppose they're saying nothing Jethro Tull or Yes didn't say better
and with cooler music
Killing Joke are definitely making the best British conspiracy-theory popmetal at the moment
can someone start an account called muserobot
that just replies "UNSUSTAINABLE" to every thread. that would be funny for a day or two huh
you'r no foley
further proof that the world is going to hell
and that there's nothing we can do about it
Guys, they're trying to save the planet here!
Lay off, okay?
This track has confirmed everything I have always thought about Muse..
Piss Poor and way over the top with their cheesy tunes.
Never been able to get into them, and my ears thank me for that each day.
UNSUSTAINABLE
INTERGALACTIC
I'm now listening to The Resistance
And marvelling at how much better it is than this. And I hated that album.
Hysteria's a tune though right?
Just listened to it loud on headphones and now I'm scared of the robot
you just know that they'll have it as some sort of ridiculous stage prop on the next tour
and it'll come to life, break loose, and terrorise the major cities of the world Godzilla style, except without massive jws and teeth, just an angry face and the repetition of one singular word: UNSUSTAINABLE. Oh god its like the fucking daleks all over again.
Yeah I can't figure this out
I think I might like it a bit
