This is disappointing. The band I most want to see right now. Not that I could go anyway, since I will have a weeks old baby to look after. Either they have realised they cannot tour Europe with a 1 year old child, or they are having another one. How they managed to play any gigs and record a whole (excellent) new album in the first year of parenthood is beyond me, it's just not humanly possible. I am not surprised they are having to cancel stuff now. Too much.
Here’s their statement:
"Dear friends, unfortunately we have to announce that we have had to cancel all upcoming shows in Europe this summer, as well as any additional touring aside from dates we have already confirmed in the US for August. The reason for this is that we've had to take some time out from playing live for the good of us as a young family. We apologise to anyone that has bought tickets to any of our headline shows in Europe or was looking forward to seeing us at a festival. It's not a decision we've taken lightly but it's the right decision for us as a family. Hopefully we'll see you again soon - we've had a wonderful 12 months of playing around the world, and we're also excited about many other thing we have planned for Peaking Lights, which you'll hear about very soon. Peace and love."
