Live on Sky Arts ch 129.
They are tight, no joke!
They must be about 70
(serious)http://www.flickr.com/photos/austinosuide/3190209053/ his name is Brian
here he is at Allotmentfest http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0QZfnPBrk6g in the middle. My mate Andy is playing teachest base on the left
he is such a lovely gentle delicate sensitive man, broken human but still intact as a musician
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RZ16HeB1UDg you can hear his voice at 48 secs mentioning marriage again......i think he was badly hurt by the break down
Can we just talk about the band rather than Brian's broken heart? One of the first bands I got into. Last I saw Julie Cruise of "twin peaks theme" fame had replace Cindi Wilson, very strange. First album is a wonderful throwback new wave classic, absolutely loved it after wearing out a tape of Cosmic Thing which is also a very fine album in itself, despite presence of "the hit". I've heard a few bootlegs from the start and early 90's and they sound tight indeed and in the case of some of the mid 80's records, even better live. "Own private Idaho" and "Devil In My Car" are new wave classics.
I saw them at the Fillmore in San Francisco in 1989 and they were indeed very tight. So many tunes on the first few albums.
