All bands crack in the end.
or is Noel playing Liam penned tracks as well?
Then started dropping them in sets to make their fans go apeshit. Didn't Ian Brown not play any Stone Roses songs for a while, then basically ended up with half each set being made up of their songs?
he only started because John Squire was playing Stone Roses song at his gigs.
He didn't tour his first album cos he was in jail! He played festivals in Summer 98, had a UK tour booked December 1998, but tour cancelled cos he ended up in prison.
and the tour at Dec 98 moved to 99 had unfinished monkey business and new material for the forthcoming Golden Greats album.
I don't remember the tour being "moved" to 99 at all. I just remember it beign cancelled and gettin a refund. Went to see him on the next tour which was definitely AFTER Golden Greats came out. Autumn 1999.
Ian Brown did tour his first album. I saw one of the shows (Gloucester Guildhall). Solo material only.
He done a few shows around festival time, but not a full tour.
penned by the true genius behind Oasis, Liam himself?
It's not like anyone other than Liam could ever do Rock N Roll Star or Morning Glory and it's better that they chose those tunes than things like Live Forever or Champagne Supernova. Looking at the setlist it's only two tracks from 13. If it sells them tickets and gives people something to sing, why kick up a fuss?
Not amazing or anything, but very solid. And I love the classic Noel track titles, my favourite being 'I Want To Live In A Dream (In My Record Machine)'. Brilliant stuff.
They started playing them because Lydon wanted the £££. And because they couldn't perform The Flowers Of Romance album live.
sold more tickets, Lydon made more £££.
Wasn't too fussed about seeing Beady Eye, but chuck a couple of Oasis tracks in and it'll be a great warm up for the Roses.
