'The Haunted Man' out on October 15th
She does the whole alternative pop thing as good as anybody else at the moment
weirdly listened to her loads in the last couple of days for some reason
hope there's no gospel choirs or ballads on this one though, fwiw
Her last album was good
Hopefully 'The Haunted Man' lives up to the previous efforts. Anyone seen her live?
perhaps not the ideal setting but I really enjoyed it
I saw the Cambridge show last week. It was awesome. For a quick and glib comparison, I'd say that most of the new songs sound a little like Yeasayer's best parts, though there are a couple of really beautiful ballads too. You can hear tons of them here http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL1CEC896FCEC712D1&feature=mh_lolz
In my opinion it's Yeasayer's best bit ever. So if it's anything like that then I'm officially really excited.
'oh yeah' is really good
Didn't work so well in a big outdoor setting but still good.
thank you for asking
she is very talented and very lovely.
she totally wasted his voice on that last album. criminal in fact
I am. Yes indeed.
That is all.
...but its all about the music remember
and the best stuff from Two Suns was incredible, so yeah, really stoked.
Also, given the comments upthread, didn't Yeasayer's frontman produce some of TS? It'll be pretty cool if she follows on from that
Loved the last two (was pretty obsessed with Fur & Gold), looking forward to hearing this one.
to the baroque\avant pop sound of the first album. I'm interested either way though.
So I'm optimistic.
