I was hoping to just appropriate someone else's.
It was good but not amazing. Seemed to drag a bit, not as upbeat as I was expecting/hoping. Conditioning is fucking amazing and I'm not sure anything else matched up to it. Might be a grower though.
Give that another listen. And I like Buck 65's spot on '(You Can't Stop) The Machine'. Agreed that it's way more downbeat than his other two, which in a way is a good thing because it gives the record a kind of emotional heft that he hasn't demonstrated before, but at the same time, downbeat hip-hop is a difficult thing to get right, and I think he misses the mark a few times. That said, the title track is probably the most melancholy thing on there, and it's pretty great.
the title track of this being my highlight of his set. Haven't heard the record though. Cheers
The track he did with Grimes is pretty good.
I've also been enjoying his 2005 album, Kayfabe, which is great too. Anyone know any other artists similar to this or people along the lines of Del Tha Funky Homosapien and so on? I'm not so knowledgeable in this area.
Buck 65 recording with a Belgian electro producer. DEAD GOOD.
