it is today, tomorrow and monday
Plan on seeing Summer Camp, The Internet, Pond, The Men, 2:54, Cloud Nothings, Willis Earl Beal, Pulled Apart By Horses and lots of people I've never heard of...
has anyone been before in Manc? Any recommendations?
but I had fun thanks to Cloud Nothings blowing my small mind. I don't care about anything else after seeing Wasted Days live. Oh apart from Islet, they were pretty good.
apart from a brief trip to see Pond at Deaf Institute...no other Manc DiS-ers on this? £20 is ridiculously good value for about 10 gigs.
come say hi, I'm in the Boredoms shirt
gone home for an hour. whatre you seein l8r?
Turbowolf- Damn cool.
2:54- Promising, but the sound was awful.
Pure Love- Fucking awful.
Pulled Apart By Horses- Excellent, as usual. They stopped half way through High Five, Swan Dive, Nose Dive and got people to tell jokes because usually the Jongleurs is a comedy venue.
Also managed to chat to some nice young chaps in LC! t-shirts.
wavves were the only band i really saw there. enjoyed em.
I don't know Nottingham very well so I didn't want to get lost looking for other bands.
I rated The Men, Broken Hands, Pond & Pulled Apart By Horses from those I saw.
Clock Opera (Or "Cock Opera" as we renamed them!) were so-so.
The rest were meh. Wanted to see 2:54 but we missed their set. Was looking forward to Neon Indian but they had to cancel.
The Men, Broken Hands and Cloud Nothings were all solid too - wasn't too impressed with Wavves or Willis Earl Beal (who, again, offered out one of the crowd) but all in all a very good 20 quid.
