Fucking terrible song.
I remember always thinking that the "I love you . I love you I love you" had potential to advance into something good but it just goes back into those horrible verses.
Ringo is a shocking useless cunt isn't he?
Someone gave him the idea that because he is in the beatles he must be artistic, that person should be removed from society and beaten with nettles until they acknowledge the pain they caused humanity.
"Most of the titles for my pieces arrived because on computer you have to call them something , so I have. The easy way to look at it is, if it has a hat on - it will probably be called Hat Man" - Ringo 2005
surely it should be hatman.jpg, Ringy?
..was the name of the first girl that made me truly miserable. hence i've got a soft spot for the track.
punk version with a preteen singer whose voice hasn't broken
whilst going around in a cardboard cut out yellow submarine, don't remember the plot but I know for certain that it wasn't a Beatles play... so I think the script writer was incoherent... lousy teacher
the one sour note on Revolver
so not all bad
...footy/cricket chants quite successfully so can't be all bad.
Now Ob-La-Di-Ob-La-Da...there is a song I could go to war over.
Life goes on
There are so many worse Beatles songs to complain about. Why not have a go at When I'm 64 instead? That's properly fucking infuriating.
to appeal to the kids of today
I really want B-NG to get off the ground asap
why Ringo just didn't say "you sing your OWN rejects! I'll have that one about Robert the dope dealer, thanks."
Gets a lotta hate on these threads. Bit of an "album" track, bit inconsequential, but still great IMO. Lennon sings it really well too, got that sardonic thing going on. Leave Dr Robert alone.
God damn it I feel strongly about this
Check Peter Criss if you want terrible songs sung by the drummer
there's a live clip of him drunk getting the lyrics wrong but it's too sad to directly link to
