kicking people in the face is so weird. he is just SOOO eccentric.
I was there and a good chunk of the crowd started booing him and left.
It was not clear what the guy did to provoke him so much, as he didn’t seem to be actively disrupting the show (I think he might have been in the process of clambering onto the stage when Beal threw the mic stand at him). When everyone booed him he started sticking his leather-gloved finger up at the crowd saying: “Fuck anyone who boos! You disrespect my profession, I disrespect your face!”
He performed quite a few songs after the attack as well, it was all very awkward.
