What's happening? Have they split? Are we going to hear anything new again?
end of october, so doesnt look like they've split
love Polyphonic Spree. My mum and step-dad saw them at Camden Barfly- not sure how the whole band managed to fit inside but they did, and it sounded amazing.
they had to build an extension to the stage, forgot all about that actually, that was a good gig. Saw them 10-15 times i guess. The early gigs were great, but then a few key members disappeared and the novelty kind of wore off..
revive tripping daisy haha only joking they were actually quite terrible , ive heard a lot worse though! i always did prefer polyphonic spree
Tripping Daisy were amazing, Bill is one of my fave albums of the 90s, they cant revive them anyway as they split when Wes died, leading to the formation of The Spree. Mark and Brian are (or were, last time i checked) in the spree too.
i didnt knwo he died! :( yea i have that tripping daisy album and it does still get a spin every now and again the first few tracks are ok but it does trail off a bit , its not awful by any means but i do prefer the spree
dont care for the Spree tho. They creep me out.
31st October 2012 is a Mean Fiddler Halloween Spectacular. The Polyphonic Spree will perform the songs of The Rocky Horror Picture show and more. A free drink to all those dressed for the occasion.
*please note that this is not affiliated with The Official Rocky Horror Picture Show
I can picture him now.
I'm sure he has in the past got dressed up especially for both Spree gigs and Rocky Horror perfomances.
A waistcoat won't dry as much.
Why are the two being compared? Is this some "in" DiS joke I don't know about? Nobody would take a waistcoat over a robe, right?
Two fourteen year old kids turned up in the robes before they started. 5 minutes into the set they both turned at each other and went *These guys are shit!* and left.
A cassock is a pretty big investment to support a band you've never heard of
