Let's all try and outdo each other with shit taste.
One of my favourites:
and play them regularly.
really like 'This is my Truth tell me Yours'... and The Vaccines debut... oh yeah, I love Blink 182 still but don't listen to them much.
and I know they're supposedly a guilty pleasure and ironic and all that **** but GENUINELY they're amazing.
See, also thanks to my dad,: Carly Simon. Brilliant.
Er also lots of bad 90s trance stuff like Bizarre Inc, Altern8 etc etc
and so it goes on
Time is in my top 10 albums of all time, easily.
who, as we know, were a waste of talent and electricity.
tho maybe I get extra nerd/guilt points because I got into them via Daicon IV - http://youtu.be/rzy1RNJBUo4 :-S
Hopefully going to master the party rocking dance this weekend. Does that count?
Although I draw the line at getting their clothing: http://www.partyrockclothing.com/collections/huck-finns
and True/Gold by Spandau Ballet.
and quite like Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper. By like in these instances I mean that I think they're decent cheesy pop but tbh it's probably that I heard them when I was little and they take me back to my childhood on some level. On the other hand some of these songs can also make me cry thinking of my dead dad probably cos he used to listen to magic in the car. :'''''(
I like Oasis, Kasabian, Foo Fighters and the last two Biffy Clyro albums. I also can't stand Animal Collective and Kid A is my second least favourite Radiohead album.
I love McFly as well on the sly, are they bad taste?
The Bends > OK Computer > In Rainbows > Pablo Honey > Hail to the Thief > King of Limbs = Kid A > Amnesiac
the ones who say "I just like anything with a good beat." FUCK. OFF.
i make people put it on when i'm very drunk
let's face it, I still feel a pang when I hear 'Showbiz' or 'Hypermusic'. Must be the guitar ...
(Finish this thread, already.)
Martine McCutcheon's Perfect Moment.
The Only other songs I know all the words to are Half Man Half Biscuit's When the evening sun goes down and Soundgarden's Spoonman.
It was the first Cd id ever bought!!!!!! and i didnt even have a sony diskman to play it on.
drunk 13 year old ned girl music FTW
Same with Gotye's "Somebody That I Used To Know". I'm deep and emotional, right?
and this, all the time:
Might put Streets of Gold on in a mo.
GONNA HAVE A HOUSE PARTY IN MA HOUSE! I'M GONNA POUR BOOZE DOWN MA MOUTH
"First Love" might just be one of my favourite pop songs ever
Fuck what ya heard, this shit goes hard. \m/
to fit into the prevailing fashions of commercial heavy musi- Oh...
"YOU ARE A FUCKING IDIOT. RULE THE WORLD? ARE YOU NUTS? THE LAST THING I'D EVER WANT IS TO BE PUT IN A BOX WITH THE MAINSTREAM CROWD. I WANT TO BE DIFFERENT. I ENJOY BEING AN OUTCAST BECAUSE IT MAKES ME UNIQUE. AND TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS: BEING DIFFERENT DOES? NOT MAKE ME WEAK. REAL STRENGTH IS BEING CONFIDENT IN YOURSELF WITHOUT NEEDING TO BE COOL TO BACK YOURSELF UP. METAL IS NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART! NOW RAISE YOUR FIST AND OVERCOME WITH THY WILL."
including once picking to see them over Stevie Wonder at Glastonbury.
on vinyl, no less.
i realize this automatically revokes my DIS pass. please tell me where/to whom i should send it.
As I will proudly admit to anyone that asks!
1: Doobie Brothers - What A Fool Believes
I am partial to a spot of Yacht Rock, I admit.
2: Def Leppard - When Love And Hate Collide
Yes, it's cheesy as fuck, but few bands can write a chorus as awesome as the bridge in this song and even fewer can approach the actual chorus.
