  • I fucking hate that venue

But love Godspeed. How do I progress here?

I didn't go to Troxy for the same reason. Hmph.

      • I'm not a big Troxy fan but enjoyed GY!BE there

        This I'm not so sure.
Actually to be honest I think I fancy seeing SMZ again more. Make that happen ATP please

        • I still need to 'see' SMZ

I 'heard' them play the bierkeller in Manchester in 2005 when they were touring 'Horses in the Sky'. I think it might be the only standing venue i've ever been to where the band plays on lower ground than the audience...

          • I was at that gig

It was uncomfortably busy to the point that I had to leave.

            • That sounds like a disaster

Hopefully they play over here again. Such a fantastic back catalog to play from.

          • i was at that gig too, i managed to find myself

a spot though stood on a raised stone bit in the middle of the room and could see their heads haha

    • It's no Koko.

    • It's one of those venues that is so bad I don't understand why anyone would choose it, I guess there aren't too many similar sized ones.

      • People talked shit about the Astoria

but my god it was a haven compared to the Forum.

  • Never had a problem with the Forum

Until I saw the Shins there and it sounded like they were playing next door with the sound seeping through the wall. Might go to this, really enjoyed Godspeed at IBYM last year despite not being in the mood for them at midday with a hangover.

  • hmm tempting

Troxy was amazing, but I could enjoy about half of it because my girlfriend fainted (couldnt handle the epicness apparently :P) and I had to take her to the back and sit down.

  • Not

A massive fan of the Forum but its Godspeed so Im going. I like the Troxy, well the bottom bit in front of the stage, and thought they were ace there when they played.
