I can't remeber/don't really care who else is on it. I really hope I remmber to watch it.
which is a good enough reason for me to watch it (even though I probably won't)
Let's do the time walk again..... The Hives anecdote - my mate wears glasses and isn't in the habit of losing them, being pretty blind and all that. But he's only ever lost 3 pairs and each one at Hives gigs given the level of crowd surfing. He's been to 3 Hives gigs. Paloma Faith story - kind of fancy her, feel guilty about it, would probably hate to be in her company for more than 5 minutes.
Bring on the Jooooools.
had to sell my ticket for them in brighton tomorrow.
otherwise go on tvcatchup
Still pedalling the same shit I see....
or are they just stealing their style?
Beach House are a great band, totally in control of everything and probably have the most distinctive sound in the business right now.
Esperanza Spalding was brilliant, managed to fit in every 70s cliche into three minutes, but was a great bassist/singer nonetheless. that music must have been really tricky to arrange.
Jimmy Cliff was of course a good performer, yet it's a bit dull really, and been heard thousands of times before.
The Hives were bags of wank. the second song was a lot better than the first but still utter shite, so that says it all i guess.
Paloma Faith was incredibly affected and pretentious. really irritating voice that is so clearly forced. boring song as well.
Jake Bugg is clearly very good at what he does, but what he does is really dull and has been done infinite amounts of times before him. he looked like a Gallagher, and i guess he'll become a teenage novelty act or something.
Esperanza Spalding is so awesome. Shame she wasn't playing double bass this time round.
just a wealthy metropolitan/media type who has an off and on music career? She seems to have been around for years, but pretty much only on Jools Holland and then inexplicably appearing on tv chat shows. Not aware of any songs or albums.
only my book about coffee tables is for my coffee table though.
i'm a bit sick of that cowbell though!
The only thing worth watching on the entire show.
