Johnny Cash - Hurt
Makes me wish for a swift but brutally painful end to the human race.
Wanted the earth to open up and swallow me when it came on at a Wedding I attended.
Or songs people adore and you just don't get?
If the former, Hey Ya.
If the latter, Come together.
LET'S GET PEDANTIC
and i hate it
on both counts
a) worn a headband
Must've stumbled onto the Mojo forums by mistake
brings a perfectly great record to a screeching halt.
I love Pink Floyd to bits and 85% of Dark Side of the Moon is wonderful. But 'Money' is appalling...the lyrics are infantile hogwash!
Fuck off Freddy.
start me up
dreams - actually all of rumours
daydream believer, i'm a believer, stepping stone
all dark side of the moon
born in the usa
layla, tears in heaven, wonderful tonight
one love, three little birds
red red wine
my girl, my guy
do wah diddy
walk this way
frampton comes alive
starship - miracles, we built this city
rock & roll pt 2
we will rock you/we are the champions
sat night fever
carry on wayward son
all eagles, ronstadt, jackson browne
...I can't go on
Imagine, Layla and Red Red Wine in particular make me want to projectile vomit caustic bile across the room
not ALL of Rumours thought. nor Dark Side of the Moon.
Reef- 'Place your hands' makes for particularly unpleasant listening.
and Anything by Razorlight
man couldn't write a tune if his life depended upon it. Apart from Iron, Lion, Zion, that is. That's a great track.
but Kaya is a fucking terrible album, and Is This Love is prob the worst song of all time
Makes my ears bleed
Can't believe no one has mentioned this.
The Diana "tribute" however, was one of the genuine lowpoints in modern history: musical or otherwise!
because its so sickly, horribly patronising and was all you would ever hear at the time. It was just preying on peoples' emotions. Not even an original song but a mere lyrics change and they're awful!
I feel ill whenever I hear it, probably one of the only songs I have to switch off if it ever comes on TV or radio.
But I'm in: Sweet Home Alabama
Neither does the tune.
Fuck Graham Nash and his two cats
Billy Joel - Piano Man
Have 'Amazed' by Lonestar as their second favourite
So that as well
despite what wedding DJs think
Not a huge fan of You Can Call Me Al either
Used to like it but now cannot get rid of it at all anywhere you go!
and on similar note, anything by Madness
