2 tunes in and liking it. 11 more to go... Here's hoping...
I'm Shakin' is very cool, sounds like he's having lots of fun...
Jack White, you are the man. A very good album.
I was screwing her
but that was back when they were touring their last LP, not at all recently.
Freedom at 21 is BEASTAGE!!!!!!!!
first single is ZzzZzz, second single "Sixteen Saltines" rules.
... but think Love Interruption is just beautiful. It reminds me of Son of a Preacher Man in a very pleasing way.
is a definite grower. But the b-side is the better than that and Sixteen Saltines put together - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gh5pGibT19E
...is the one!
I deleted itunes a couple of months ago. It's probably leaked mind.
are the drums insanely low in the mix? (he's not a drummer) It's like Zeppelin with a metronome to his ears. If the drums were louder it would be a sick album.
I've never really enjoyed a White Stripes album but I'm liking this a lot...even Love Interruption in the context of the album...
that's something pretty cool, eh.
really liked it on first listen. which is nice.
Have been listening to Icky Thump today as a warm-up for Blunderbuss. I hardly listened to this at all when it first came out, but the first half of the album has some pretty amazing tracks on it. Not sure how well it all hangs together, though; it feels like they definitely exchanged experimentation for tunes..., not a feeling I got from Blunderbuss, which, at least musically, felt a little warmer and more inviting...
...a new White Stripes album. Great stuff.
loved it! just downloaded it, it's 6 quid on 7digital.
I reckon he's trying to sound like McCartney there with his singing. Reminded me of him anyway.
that I won't feel a bit let down by this, as I have by almost all JW's non-Stripes output...
It's better than all that other stuff? Will that do?
... and then we'll tell you if it's true or not...
Its weird because its what you expect from him ( retro rock blues) but still it manages to surprise you.
