MIE News - Gate's The Dew Line, Richard Youngs 'Amaranthine', a new Trouble Books track and a 20% of sale.
Wow, seems like I never get round to coming on here anymore, anyway its partially because I'm so god damn busy with the label nowadays, and juggling that with the day job. Anyway as you might have seen last year we released a series of excellent records from the likes of Cath & Phil Tyler, Daniel Menche & Anla Courtis and Part Wild Horses Mane On Both Sides.
This year is just going to get even better. In January we released Richard Youngs' 'Amaranthine' LP, an epic sound/noise/drum bending aural blast which got one hell of a sweet review from the Quietus here, http://thequietus.com/articles/07772-richard-youngs-amaranthine-review
And then in the next month I'll be starting our reissues of Gate's, Michael Morley from the Dead C, previous releases with The Dew Line. Its coming out on 2LP and with 5 extra unreleased tracks. Its sounding incredible and its going to be a hell of a n exciting release to be a part of, a real legend in the noise-rock scene. There's one of the new previously unreleased tracks streaming at our soundcloud page here, http://soundcloud.com/miemusic/gate-ives
We're also going to be co-releasing Trouble Books' new LP Concatenating Fields. After selling out the two editions of the record with Mark McGuire, he of Emeralds fame, (did you know you could d/l it here for free? http://www.barkandhiss.com/discography/) we're pretty excited at releasing their next LP. Its as ever a gorgeous blissed out ambient pop wonder but with quite a few surprises in it, more info to come but for now here's a track from the LP, http://www.visitation-rites.com/2012/03/not-sxsw-round-3/
Then we've got further releases before the summer from Chord, Bong, Hallock Hill and Cian Nugent. And many more coming up after that.
Our 20% off sale, we've got a week remaining on the sale, where you can get a good deal on last years releases, with a nice bundle deal as well.
Oh and in case you missed it, we're putting on Jandek in Manchester on the 21st April and he's playing with Richard Youngs and Alex Nielsen.
