Could be good!
be good. Bit later than usual as well.
Hopefully he'll do at least two nights of stuff himself
Very much so.
Lineup's out. BASINSKI
nice work Antony.
And disappointed he doesn't seem to be playing!
there's still more to be announced. I'd be surprised if there was no Anthony gig at all.
This interview suggests he won't be performing
oh well, shame. Love to see Antony at RFH.
maybe with CocoRosie. I can't imagine an Antony/Diamanda duet but I'm strangely intrigued...
were on the same bill on the same evening of Mars Volta ATP and he still didn't do Beautiful Boys with them. I was sad.
y'know, people i've heard off.
Motorhead have already played Meltdown anyway
but I'd be rather surprised if Antony Hegarty had booked them.
hope diamanda galas performs elsewhere in the uk while she's over.
might go see CocoRosie.
I'll be watching PiL instead, so it's not all bad.
what do you think We Are On Fire is?
name of their new single + therefore album I guess.
should have googled. Featuring Antony Hegarty
need to get tickets for basinski and cocorosie
Including Lou Reed and Matmos (not together)
Long shot I know.
Gutted but I have double book myself and can't get out of the other commitment.
Offered face to a good home.
Can get a credit note from the RFH box office.
I'll try call them and see though thanks
Stuck with it
I'll send you a PM when the ticket turns up
If any other DiSers are going hit me up, will be my first ever solo gig haha.
twenty five quid for hercules & love affair !!!!!
Pretty much a one-off.
is fucking beautiful, lucky people who get to see this man live.
Really excited if that is the right word
Just realised Basinski is gonna be playing the same night the Olympics finishes / Blur and N.O. play at Hyde Park. London is gonna be pretty rammed right? I know a river separates the two but those venues are pretty close.
I hope my fuking loops aren't drowned out by that Albarn twunt and his "Popscene da da" j/k-kinda.
I couldn't hear that massive concert last Thursday from where I work in Knightsbridge. Don't worry!
just the possibility of crowds on my way home, I guess. Even that has been exaggerated in central London, it seems. I'd usually walk over to Charing Cross from the Southbank, but I can even avoid that.
Idle thoughts....that is all. Looking forward to the D. Loops - with drums! apparently.
You got to get back to? I'd have thought Basinski will be over by 2130-2200 - well before the other events (which wouldn't have a huge impact anyway)
But you know it's a swanky sit-down venue, yeah? So you'll need to be there by 7.30 whatever... Is due to finish at 10pm.
Was planning on meeting someone for a drink around then though, so I was hoping I might be able to get in at about 8pm and not miss any of Selda's set.
Could be wrong though...
I don't think they mind people going in and out (or arriving late) as long as you have a ticket. The bar and toilets are outside of the seating area. I'm more worried about Selda starting quite early.
Blooming lovely stuff.
I'd like to watch the Olympics until my gigs start. I'm seeing Elizabeth Fraser and Lou Reed. Even arty people must enjoy sport.
In fact the whole Southbank was without apparent coverage, even the pub I was in wasn't showing it.
showing the Olympics in the main area on Sunday, loads of seats there.
They'll usually let you in between songs at the RFH, depending on the artist. If its someone like Basinski, you'll probably have to wait a while.
