but it certainly has its moments. I got it as part of the Rough Trade Albums club and it is much better than the previous two albums they've selected this year.
I like the idea of what the guy is doing, but I just wish it was a bit more consistent and less Radio Two Swingle Singers in places.
Personally I find him a bit Jamie Lidell gone Lidl.
and, when you consider that you should hate by default any record with a cover of the Eastenders theme song, that's no small praise.
I think it's great pretty much beginning to end.
i really enjoyed it. the second time round i found it considerably more boring.. it's been a couple of weeks though so maybe i will give it another go..
With a few little moments of perfection. It needs a few more listens though, after which I'll probably change my mind completely.
Gee Up > House > That's Alright > Cyan (especially Cyan) which is as good as anything I've heard this year.
