no fucking point. Wish I'd never fucking bothered.
Just crank it and make some noise, you fucking pansy
cheer up you daft twat
I have always wondered if classical concert oboeists (as an example) ever write music or little oboe soloes to amuse themselves. it is quite sad if they get to such a high standard and just play a load of dull 18th century music. Compared to a douche bag with 3 chords and a guitar who can make millions.
I'd recommend getting a loop pedal, you can add layers and work on different melodic lines to your chords, may still not be proper songs but feels more substantial and satisfying, also a good learning tool and sketch pad for ideas
You wouldn't know if you coukd write songs until you learnt to.play. So its a null point.
Jamiroquai writes songs by just making noises at session musicians and asking them to recreate them
i tell you when i get in the swing on some of my favourite backing tracks after a crappy day at work and my guitar is screaming oh it feels good
get a Line 6 DL4 or something, great fun for working out ideas
"Look at that fret work! Fe's not playing that guitar" whenever a mediocre Hollywood actor is badly miming along in a film that they deemed not important enough to learn a few basic chord shapes for despite their huge fee.
