I cant wait for what he's got to say when this all goes to court.
(OK, it's a cover of Orgy's cover, but even so)
And for some reason I don't quite know i spent about 40 quid on new order tickets. I like them and all, but I rarely pay that for bands in their live peak
The Manchester Drifters.
"It's pretty much the ultimate insult".
Make your mind up, eh?
Is that you????
He's such a plonker though. He could at least fuck off.
and what are you, the shit thread gatekeeper?
you mime DJing!
Peter Hook and the Light Play Joy Divison's BBC Sessions?
Peter Hook and the Light Play That Ropey Bootleg of Warsaw Demos?
fuck off Peter Hook
My friend's band even opened up for Peter Hook and the Light at a date on the east coast. Oof.
So it's no better than a cover band
It seems to have been totally removed from the internet though, I wonder whos responsible?
He's being a little bit self-important, a bit big-headed, there's no need for anybody to mime his parts! He's no Les Claypool, nothing he played in New Order or Joy Division was particularly difficult. His tone isn't difficult to replicate either - play with a pick and a ton of chorus effect and you're there.
Wearing your bass around your knees like a show-off teenager, on the other hand...
that Hook himself had to use a backing track on this particular song as it had a low and high part simultaneously. They may not have recorded a new backing track possibly, but it is a bit of a stretch to imply this new chap is just miming. It is not like the bass parts are hard.
