STOP SPITTING ON THE PLEBS INTERNET FOREVER.
I feel a bit guilty about the fact I don't always do it. But then it's not always practical is it? And certainly not toys out the pram thing. Certainly don't get what the guys going on about there...
for no reason other than the fact that I love doing it. I don't expect bands to acknowledge it at all. It's nice when they do obviously, but it's not why I do it or why anyone should do it. It certainly shouldn't be expected.
Also as guntrip says in the comments, bands who retweet all their albums reviews are annoying as fuck. I was speaking to james from the twilight sad on monday and he said that he will retweet everything but album reviews as it just comes across as being very needy. I agree too.
There's no way I needed to write that much about this but there yoy go. tl;dr
I was thinking more of a quick private thank you email, which I do occasionally but possibly think I should always do...
(What band do you play in?)
IF will be getting a fair deal of press I would've thought, there's no way they should be dishing out personal emails to anyone who reviews it. I don't even know how they would go about doing that.
IDK, there are a lot of points here but I'm tired and I have this fucking Internet Forever album review to finish.
but now you have put the album back I dont have to finish it for a month...
And it can be hard to keep track of everywhere you've been reviewed. But it is a nice thing when you're in an independent band and someone takes the time and trouble to review you. And it's good when you can get a chance acknowledge that effort.
Obviously it's certainly doesn't justify the angry rant when it doesn't happen though!
What's hilarious about this guy is that he hasn't even reviewed it, he's 'sticking up' for someone who posted their review in a comments section on facebook and didn't get a response for 9hrs.
is that a) he's a total cunt and b) he's called Tim Whale.
You shouldn't do it for praise or recognition. But it's a lovely thing when somebody does. It happens very rarely but when it does, it means a lot.
But anybody in reviewing for praise, esteem, love or money should simply not be doing it. Cliche an' all that; but it's about the music...
I've never even heard of them. Why are reviewers wasting their time with In To Net For Iver when they could be writing about Grammy winners?
The angry guy is obviously FAKE, probably that left-handed bastard Craig Nunn talking to himself.
HOPE YOU GOT A FEW HITS OUT OF IT YOU CUNTS I HATE YOU!!!11
PPS. See you guyz Saturday xx
might get Andrzej on the case to anyone hasn't paid homage to any of our reviews, the ALOOF SCUM that they are
is a bit smalltime.
