Who are the Make up?
(Assuming you're not talking about Weird War.)
Jamie show yourself!
I thought those would be the last to go, I need some. Hope there are more.
I don't get why the weekend tickets are not. I don't want to find myself in a situation where I buy two or three day tickets and then ATP release a limited batch of weekend tickets.
so a small amount of extra weekend passes are on sale:
Of course if anyone bought a friday, saturday and sunday in the last 2 weeks they can contact us to get a refund of the price difference.
bought mine just now.
I'm going to have to buy two day tickets, bastards
is this line-up strong enough to sell-out Ally Pally? It's hardly Portishead/PJ Harvey/Nick Cave now is it?
From what I've heard, for the money they're paying Slayer is better bloody sell out!
I'd be very surprised if Sat & Sun sold out
Maybe even better than last year, when there was only really one day that tempted me. This year, all three look packed with great stuff.
interested but can't see many of the bands playing working in the caverns of Ally Pally. I didn't really enjoy last years despite some of my favourite bands playing, it was just too big and the sound not right. I'd be all over it if it was a Minehead ATP lineup
...then checked the ticket prices. £64, really?
That is an incredible price for a very niche line-up. Especially when Mogwai (however great they are) are a £15 a ticket band.
You could probably get a day ticket for most of the big festivals for that and not have to endure Ally Pally.
It's three days of varied line ups all of which appeal to me personally on some level.
But in terms of big crowd pullers, I'm not sure they've currently got the clout of last years' to fill that place.
I think that's pretty good value. Not sure if that's the day I'd pick (Afghan Whigs day looks the most varied and intriguing), but I don't think you can complain it's overpriced, especially for a London gig indoors.
More just the size of the name and their pulling power. It seems a more balanced line up this year whereas you get the feeling last time around that no-one cared overly about the music until about 5pm. I'd pay that price, but I just wonder if lots of other people will...?
They've played places like the Albert hall.
my typos are epic today.
Not here to slag a band I love, but, they're just not the kind of band for enough people to part with £64.
Varied line-up or not, to sell tickets you need a band the average punter loves at the top of the bill.
or for the weekend?
Fri is cheaper£42
I'll still go, but nothing is really flooring me.
There's something of actual interest for me on each of those days.
Actual "pee my pants with excitement" type interest!
FYI: the make up are exceptional live, or they were.
Alright, I'm sold. Friday here I come.
Everyone listen to the I Want Some comp its all kinds of brill. Funnily enough I've been rinsing their music again lately.
Went mad for them back in the day. Saw them several times and bought all the 7s.
But... why can't this be at a holiday camp/typical ATP? Jeff Mangum/The National do a runner!
Only got tickets for Friday and Saturday, but the inevitable car-crash that is the Ultramagnetic MCs set has me tempted to get one for Sunday too...
Sorry to sound like a broken record, but Alexandra Palace was fine last time. Actually, it was great. And I swore never to go there again after having been to so many shit gigs there.
WOLVES IN THE THRONE ROOM
That is a pretty amazing line up.
so just so those people who are interested know, we had a lot more requests for weekend passes, so we've put a small amount of extra ones on sale:
