That is all.
yeah its no bad
(personalities aside), so i was hoping for big things. It's not a classic, but I'll buy it.
but I did have the L U V YOU WANNA thing in my head the other day
no its fucking shit
it's like avril's girlfriend but sterile and charmless
and the nicki minaj and M.I.A. bits where they say about 10 words combined is typical madonna 'keeping up with the kids' shit.
I would agree if it wasn't for the absolute crap that was 'give it 2 me'.
Y O U YOU WANNA
YOU WANNA LOVE MADONNA
I've seen on DiS thus far
bit racist tho.
Bad news, bro, baaaaaad news.
have you lot heard chart music recently?
but i've heard stuff that should've be in the charts that makes Madonna look pretty bad
pop music has never been so relentlessly gash as it is these days...it's a feedback loop of bland or garish toss, dumb and/or cynical and tightly regimented by unadventurous radio playlists, industry back-patting, stagnant download charts..../rant.
yeah, point is that this is a catchy, fun piece of fluff, and considerably less hateful than most other stuff out there. mostly 'cause of Minaj and MIA, but whatevs.
I do wish Missy Elliott would make a comeback, though.
that is better than the new Madonna single. MIA & Minaj aren't doing anything interesting on it. Smacks of Madge shoving a couple of newer artists onto her song just for cred
^you listening to the wrong shizzle
she has been doing it for a while, we should be used to it now tbf
maybe not so harmless after all.
I suddenly feel like listening to DJ Sprinkles.
feeling a bit ignorant right now
and the rest are the result of over-analysis of something that wasn't planned this way. I'm sure that one of the reasons she selected M.I.A for instance is her "exotic" background. In my opinion though the reason M.I.A. and Nicki Minaj are portrayed this way (completely secondary), does not have to do with white suprematism or something similar - it's just Madge's ego. When going overboard with analysis, people can begin to see things that aren't really there.
But I think you get my point :) I think it's easy to rush into conclusion when this model of discrimination has been done so often in the past (advertisements from the 20s-70s are particularly shocking), but I do not think there was such an intention in this case.
it did go a bit wrong when she implied that
i hate people that write about music like this
