Shearwater
Winged Life Reissue - February 14, 2012
Misra will reissue Shearwater's Winged Life [MSR024] on LP -- February 14, 2012. The album was originally released on March 17, 2004 -- CD and digital only. It contains seven songs from Shearwater mainstay Jonathan Meiburg and five songs from Okkervil River frontman Will Sheff.
Shearwater began as the project of Okkervil River members Jonathan Meiburg & Will Sheff. The band originally formed as an outlet for the pair's more hushed songs. Since then, Meiburg & Sheff have gone on to focus solely on Shearwater and Okkervil River, respectively.
Nonetheless, there was a time when the two critically acclaimed songwriters both appeared on Shearwater albums. Misra’s catalog contains three of the aforementioned collaborations -- Winged Life, Thieves, and Everybody Makes Mistakes. We're very excited for the world to hear Winged Life on vinyl.

Shearwater
The Dissolving Room is their debut isn't it?
And I wish Misra would get round to re-releasing Everybody Makes Mistakes. I think that has been OOP for a while now...
Yeah...I also didn't think Winged Life was their debut
Unless it was the last record before Sheff and Meiburg split (or first after)? Have heard it and tbh...they really upped their game Palo Santo onwards...not really much to report from the early stuff.
Yes their 3rd album
and the first one I heard. Have a real soft spot for this album, and I think some of Will Sheff's best songs are on it.
