Looking forward to see them Wednesday...anyone seen them on their tour yet and if so, any good?
certainly looking forward to tomorrow. The album is a snorter.
Really good, the album sounds great live with some of the songs being extended (Glass Tambourine & Racehorse being particular highlights).
you also get two new songs, 'Nothing' which sounds a bit like the Breeders and a punky one whose title I've forgotten - the internet suggests they've been playing these out since about October
also a cover of 'Do You Wanna Dance' which I guess is hailing the Ramones version primarily
Would have gone last night if I was in town.
the first new track is probably the best un they've done so far, and great live band.
Hadn't listened to anything beforehand and was thoroughly impressed with them live.
Having to rely on public transport to get anywhere meant I missed out, as apparently being able to get from one major city to another (Nottingham to Birmingham) via train after 9.30 at night is not possible. I know 'you should learn to drive' but when you've had a brain tumour on your optic nerve its not that simple
They were amazing in Manchester, I'm not even that big a fan of the album but it all sounded really great live.
They were excellent in Glasgow, Carrie Brownstein was on brilliant form. There were at least three new songs, possibly more.
I think Carrie might as cool as Kim Deal (if not cooler).
Looking forward to it.
