ATP NBC 2012
...Another band working on a much anticipated second album are LOWER DENS. The band fronted by Jana Hunter’s have already been confirmed for ATP in Minehead, curated by The National, in December, but they’ll also be around in May playing shows at Primavera (both at Porto and Barcelona) amongst others...

where is
that from?
National are mates with Sufjan Stevens, so that could be good news...
Got this from http://toutpartout.be's mailinglist, they are the European tourpromoter of Lower Dens (among others).
Hang on a second!?!?
Is the a massive wet dream of a leak?
ATP Curated by The National!
The national dont sound very nightmareish :(
National Before Christmas?
I dunno
a weekend curated by The National sounds pretty nightmarish to me.
Hehehehehe
^thised, even though I like The National
This could be great.
Even though I was secretly hoping for ATDI.
it's not necessarily going to be the NBC weekend though
they'll be doing two weekends in December right?
Just the 1 this year
Someone's either bullshitting or they've broken an embargo.
Oops!
sean did retweet something about embargo breakers deserving to be shot
I'm not sure if the that's got anything to do with this
this thread is bad, bad news for ATP if true
I would buy my ticket right now.
nah
A novel mix of trolling and spam
Interesting approach.
ughhhhhh
really hope this isn't true. i thought nbc was reserved for non-lame bands.
I'd trust them to put together a good line up
(their Dark Was The Night compilation was pretty ace), even if the band themselves don't excite you that much.
Yeah I'm more excited by their affiliates
Than I am the band
yep this is true.
DEFINITELY GONNA GO

The Decemberists' 16 Military Wilv
have also been confirmed
blergh!
The Jeff magnum one has good new additions. Maybe this National thing is just a ploy to sell more Jeff tickets.
really?
thought they were disappointing, as earth and mt eerie had already been confirmed. the jesus blood thing sounds interesting though, i guess.
Roscoe Mitchell is a good one
I thought Yamantaka Sonic Titan was a Yamataka Eye thing but it isn't. Anyway there's still a load of stuff I'd like to see on the lineup now.
seriously though.
i love the national but IMO they're pretty likely to put together a stinker of a bill.
It would be nice to be proved wrong though.
The additions to Jeff Mangum ATP today make it pretty tempting
The artists on here aren't too bad.

not really so much a fan of a lot of the more middlebrow pitchfork-y stuff TBH. + i wouldn't get your hopes up for many of those as pretty much every band on that line-up could headline their own atp.
I think it'll be pretty fucking awesome
But then I would say that. I reckon Sufjan, St Vincent and Sharon Van Etten will probably play, and we could even see entire Don't Look Back sets of whole National albums. I would pretty much ie die.
...bit boring.
Fuck you Bradshaw
Fuck you very much!
PS: HI.

Oh for fuck's sake
Fucking DiS boards.
Y NO METTLE
*beats tiny indie chest*

lower dens are boss.
i think i can agree that this event would also be boss. the national seem like sensible enough dudes to be able to pick an interesting line up.

doesn't actually reference the release, just this thread.
we're all famous!
This is Fake DIY have reported this as well, also linking back to this thread
you'd think someone, somewhere at either of those esteemed publications would have either got or be able to get hold of the email in question, the Toutpartout mailout isn't exactly a save-the-life-of-a-member-only party

they should get Caribou to do all the ATPs.
Yep. Annoyed I missed the last one. I'd like a do over.
yes. give them/him a whole weekend come on guys
I mean is The National going to curate a smell, I don't think so.
looks like i've lost my best for an Isis reformation / ATP 2012 curation then
maybe i'll win 2013.
