Every Time I Die - Ex-Lives

badmanreturns [Edit] [Delete] 6 replies 18:44, 3 January '12

Coming out March 6th, first single/video "Underwater Bimbos From Outer Space" is here:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y1gi_aOe334

Sounds like a fairly old-school ETID vibe, almost Last Night In Town style. Lyrics aren't Keith's best but it's definitely enjoyable. Very much looking forward to the album now. The video is also causing a hell of a ruckus due to it's apparent 'message', but I think if you know anything about ETID you'd know not to take them seriously, it's clearly just shock tactics.

Anyway, thoughts?

  • i like the sound of this

i've only heard their first and last albums properly, but it's got elements of why i love both of those albums, so that's a good sign.

    • Then you haven't heard Hot Damn!

Which is by some distance the best thing they've ever done, and is to this day one of my go-to albums for fist-pumping walks home when drunk. It's incredible.

  • I used to love ETID

Then forgot about them due to various hard drive crashes and CD misplacement. Haven't heard anything since their second LP, I have just downloaded their whole back catalogue. Shall give it a crack.
