I bought Wrong Eyed Jesus today for £3 on a whim. It's a bit special. Have i started with his best or is there lots more to explore?

If you didn't get it already...
...the accompanying film 'Searching for the WEJ' is a bit special too.
i've always thought he was wasted on Sky Sports News.
any Mike Wedderburn cameos?
whilst I've never connected with his albums
I understand that 'Drill a hole in that substrate....' is also highly regarded, and for my money it contains the one song of his which stands above the others - "Static on the radio"
Lyrically, musically sublime.
Static On The Radio
is such an amazing song.
Don't know much about him
but I have a Rough Trade Country compilation with a song of his called "Girl from Brownsville Texas" on it, and it's one of the most gorgeous, romantic & witty songs you'll ever hear.
Wrong Eyed Jesus is indeed special.
I'm not sure he hit those heights again, but the second album is fairly good.
