How was last night for the Leeds contingent?
I shall be there on my own, so if anyone wants to make polite (and I promise totally unawkward) conversation, that would be nice.
he was quite amazing, but I did think the kings place one was the best I've ever seen him. Loved the Elvisy shit at the end last night. Sometimes at more of a standing up rock gig it doesn't work so well in a way cos it's hard to do the detached 'is this all part of the performance' kind of thing when people are talking, also a lot of people seemed to be laughing at every single thing he did. Not that he's not very funny.
Bump
Due to supreme lack of board interest and approaching gig
I do love David Thomas Broughton.
But the last time I saw him at King's Place left me feeling a bit flat. I'm still undecided about Friday.
I saw him years ago at the Slaughtered Lamb
Having never heard him before, and it blew my mind.
Kings place is a touch sterile, hopefully he will be great at the Lexington.
I've seen him quite a bit over the years. You are spot on about Kings Place.
If a school hall and the Barbican had a child.....
I have you right about the Lexington.
I do like the Barbican though
Perhaps due more to their programming than the space and it always has great sound.
*waves* I'm going too!
I'm going I think!
I am also going!
Should be great. :)
Well it's starting to look like a right old knees up
Also at the Brudenell on Thursday, for Leeds people. Go!
ACtually I thought
This gig was Thursday, can't do Friday :(
So it's tonight!

I have had a word with my self and just bought tickets.
Last night was utterly fantastic.
Agreed
What a showman. A demented genius.
Gutted
That I couldn't make it in the end :(
