Due to supreme lack of board interest and approaching gig
I do love David Thomas Broughton.
But the last time I saw him at King's Place left me feeling a bit flat. I'm still undecided about Friday.
I saw him years ago at the Slaughtered Lamb
Having never heard him before, and it blew my mind.
Kings place is a touch sterile, hopefully he will be great at the Lexington.
I've seen him quite a bit over the years. You are spot on about Kings Place.
If a school hall and the Barbican had a child.....

Perhaps due more to their programming than the space and it always has great sound.

he was quite amazing, but I did think the kings place one was the best I've ever seen him. Loved the Elvisy shit at the end last night. Sometimes at more of a standing up rock gig it doesn't work so well in a way cos it's hard to do the detached 'is this all part of the performance' kind of thing when people are talking, also a lot of people seemed to be laughing at every single thing he did. Not that he's not very funny.
