Someone at the BBC is intent on making that band properly happen.
Theyre an itchy ballsack of a band.
they're far from an exciting band, but at least it ain't spector, or brother. guess bbc learned their lesson re spector from the jools debacle.
i quite like the vaccines record, but i saw them live and they were rubbish (loved jay jay pistolet, where has all his charisma gone?). spector just sound rubbish straight away, and lacking in the sense of humour which makes the brother car crash at least bearable.
that the singer of the vaccines is jay jay pistolet. WTF?
i saw that guy a few times and i frequently play one of his EPs, it's wonderful. i wondered what he'd been up to so just googled him...
was this common knowledge?
Don't understand all the hate. They're alright, I guess. No Ringo Deathstarr, though.
having watched all the 1976 top of the pops, TOTP needs the shit...
Trouble with the Vaccines is not that they're terrible per se, they're just aggressively mediocre.
The consistent blandness and mediocrity of their music seems to appeal to me in some way. And they have that one that is pretty much a cover of The KKK Took My Baby Away.
Don't like them, but don't particularly dislike them either. Apathy is probably the best response to their music, given the militant mediocrity of it...
baffled by the hate.
The reason they can afford their backing is that they are rich kids. See also: The Horrors.
This is how the subways are still getting A-listed on radio 1.
the Christmas TOTP is intended to reflect the year's biggest records and bands. The Vaccines have a singles chart peak of 32 and their album isn't among the year's top 40 sellers.
This is not at all what I expected.
