At least the big one in the trocadero has.
Wonder if the others have as well...
it was mostly zany t-shirts and novelty books like "101 uses for your underwear!!111" type thing
though it's pretty crap at having the latest issues in.
had a massive section of headphones that cost £150 each. This section was larger than the music section. I left with nothing.
Or did you ask someone? Last time I was in there they were at the back - just to the right of the stairs that take you from the ground floor to the games section.
asked someone: he said they stopped selling magazines from Monday
I guess this is probably common across the country since the takeover.
The thing is though - it's the worst of both worlds. They've removed the areas of music that were more specialist (and I'd likely purchase from) and replaced it with the lowest common denominator books that you walk past to get to the more interesting books in a normal Waterstones.
All this is stating the obvious in a 'what do you get when you cross a HMV and a Waterstones store in one finite set of space'.
My point? I'd like a decent HMV and a decent Waterstones with large ranges of my tastes to browse and give me ideas from which to purchase online. Thanks a bunch recession.
[joke. sort of.]
