The Kick Inside.
Mother stands for comfort is one of my favourite songs.
Although I think my favourite non- hit would be The Morning Fog. It's just so delicate and glacial. I think that and Mother Stands for Comfort are two of the best songs she's ever written.
Runner-up goes to Rocket's Tail: awesome Kate vocal plus Trio Bulgarka plus blinding David Gilmour guitar solo equals bushy goodness.
wasnt that side 2 of aerial?
The CD version is nine seperate tracks, though.
Love the opening chords
What type of thing am I missing out in here?
Look up Hounds of Love on Youtube.
on "the Dreaming" album. Still sends a shiver down my spine.
which ones count as her *hits*?
Wuthering Heights (joke mention surely?)
Hounds of Love (18 in the UK charts, perhaps passable)
My favourite non-hit is probably the first song of her first album, Moving. Sucker for a bit of whale noise.
Shit, turns out it was number 1 in Japan.
which, along with Wuthering Heights, are the only Kate Bush songs I know well.
I think you have now covered all of her top 10 hits. Except the cloud one, Cloudbursting (?). And Wow I think. And maybe Rubberband Girl. Oh and the god-awful duet with Peter Gabriel. I wonder how you could make that worse? Oh, I've got an idea let's get a Neighbours star (using the term loosely) and an Australian idol runner-up to do a cover version.
And actually there's probably a few others from her later career that I've missed.
with the Director's Cut version of Moments Of Pleasure not far behind.
It's about fucking a snowman....fucking a mother-fucking snowman!
